Selection Process

​

The Emerging Artists Foundation (EAF) will evaluate all submitted applications based on artistic merit, originality, and potential impact. The selection process will be conducted as follows:

​

1. Initial Review – All applications will undergo a preliminary review to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and submission requirements. Incomplete or ineligible applications may be disqualified.

2. Evaluation Panel – A panel of industry professionals, artists, and EAF representatives will assess eligible applications. Evaluations will be based on factors such as artistic quality, creativity, demonstrated commitment to the arts, and the potential impact of the scholarship on the applicant’s career.

3. Final Selection – Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview or to provide additional materials if deemed necessary by the selection committee. The final recipients will be chosen based on a consensus decision by the panel.

4. Notification – Selected recipients will be notified via email or phone within a specified timeframe. Those not selected will also be informed, though feedback on individual applications may not be provided due to the volume of submissions.

 

EAF reserves the right to modify the selection criteria or process at its discretion and to decline applications that do not align with the foundation’s mission and objectives. The decision of the selection committee is final and not subject to appeal.

 

 

Materials Submission Agreement

By submitting any materials as part of your award application—including but not limited to documents, images, videos, and written content—you hereby grant the Emerging Artists Foundation (EAF) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, publicly display, and otherwise utilize such materials, in whole or in part, for marketing, advertising, and educational purposes.

 

You affirm that you either own the submitted materials or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to grant this license to EAF. Additionally, you confirm that the use of these materials by EAF will not infringe upon or violate any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any third party.

 

If you do not wish for your submitted materials to be used for these purposes, you must provide written notice to EAF at the time of submission.

Performance Obligation

​

As a condition of accepting the award and scholarship, recipients agree to perform at a private concert organized by EAF in October (in Washington, DC) of the same calendar year in which the scholarship is awarded. The specific date, time, and venue of the performance will be determined by EAF and communicated to the recipient with reasonable advance notice.

​

Failure to fulfill this performance obligation without prior written approval from EAF may result in forfeiture of the scholarship and any associated benefits.

​

EAF will cover reasonable travel expenses incurred by the recipient for the performance, including transportation and accommodation, if necessary. Specific travel arrangements and reimbursement details will be coordinated with the recipient in advance.
